Thanks for visiting my webpage. It was my honor to represent and serve the citizens of Frederick County as Commissioner from December 1, 2006 to January 13, 2010. I was appointed to the House of Delegates on January 13th by Governor Martin O’Malley to fill the vacated seat of former Delegate Rick Weldon.
The local governmental level is a great place to start public service. The Commissioner form of government in both Frederick and Washington Counties is truly the level of government closest to the people.
In order for progress to be made, you have to work with those also elected, regardless of their party affiliation.
I am a fiscal conservative and have done my level best to contain spending and protect taxpayers. I’m guided by core principals of fairness but am not so stubborn as to think I’m always right. During the course of my tenure as County Commissioner I proved this to be the case.
District 3B residents need representation from someone who truly understands what happens at the local level when bills in Annapolis are being hammered out. I have the necessary experience to represent the citizens of District 3B. |
